Metagenopolis is a national research infrastructure dedicated to the study of the human and animal microbiota.

It is designed to accelerate scientific discovery and innovation in the field of metagenomics.

Its goal is to better understand the role of microorganisms in health and disease.

It fosters the development of personalized nutritional and medical solutions.

Our strengths

  • A strong expertise in Metagenomic data analysis

    MetaGenoPolis’ expertise in bioinformatics and statistics is recognized in the international scientific community. Metagenomics analysis of multivariate and heterogeneous datasets powered by our informatic and biostatistic team. Our scientists were the first to explore in depth the microbial genes of the human intestinal tract – and today, they conduct standardized high-throughput DNA metagenomics analyses for applications in human and animal health.

MetaGenoPolis offers end-to-end microbiome analysis services, including DNA extraction, library preparation, shotgun sequencing, quantitative and functional metagenomics, big data storage and computing facilities, bioinformatics, statistical analysis, and data interpretation – all under innovant scientific platforms, accompanied by the SOCA – Social Acceptability platform UCLy (Lyon Catholic University).
