INRAE is starting a research and development project in collaboration with the Microbiome Venture of DuPont Nutrition & Health, which will be led by the "Functionality of the Intestinal Ecosystem" team of Institut Micalis and the human metagenomics experts of the pre-industrial demonstrator Metagenopolis. The objective of this collaboration is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of action of DuPont probiotic bacterial strains using a functional (meta)genomics approach.
